What is ISIC (International Student Identification Card)?

  • International student ID card certified by UNESCO and issued by ISTC (International Student Travel Confederation)
  • You can prove your student status at home and abroad and online and enjoy various benefits

  • The only UNESCO-approved international student ID card
  • Various benefits abroad

Apply for an international student ID

  • Undergraduate, graduate school students and students on leave of absence (However, graduate students are not allowed)
  • Since the ISIC is an identification card, not a membership card, it can be used only by the person himself/herself and cannot be rented or transferred to another person.
  • For details such as discounts, please refer to the International Student ID website.

  • 1. Log in: Log in and access the application site, click Issuance of International Student ID
  • 2. Payment of issuance fee: select card type, fill out application
  • 3. Card Receive: Completed and Card Received
  • 4. Go to International Student ID Application

Card type information

Example) Check card type ISIC

  • Global check card and cash card function
  • Issued by: Korea Exchange Bank branches nationwide
  • Issuance period: issuance immediately upon visit to the bank

Example) General ISIC

  • Non-financial card without financial function
  • Card delivered to your home 2-3 days after completing the application form and payment of the issuance fee

ISIC validity period

  • ISIC (International Student Identification Card) is valid for 13 months, and the start month of the validity period is selected when filling out the application.
  • Select the start month of the validity period in consideration of the departure schedule (Example: When filling out the application in May, you can select the start month of the validity period from 5/6/July/August)
  • Valid for 13 months from the selected start month (e.g., if July is selected as the start month of the validity period, it is valid from July 1 of the year to the end of July of the following year)

Caution

  • When purchasing air tickets and using online benefits, you must have a valid international student ID, so be careful when selecting the validity period
    (For air tickets, your international student ID must be valid as of the boarding date)
